Our own school: training in Magento.

Adobe Commerce, formerly known as Magento, holds a unique place in the e-commerce solutions landscape. While other platforms focus on simplicity and accessibility, Adobe Commerce has chosen power, flexibility, and technical depth. It is a solution designed for ambitious projects—those that require a solid architecture, advanced customization capabilities, and strong scalability. Thousands of companies around the world, from SMEs to large international groups, rely on it to run their online stores and manage catalogs with thousands of products.
Yet behind this reputation for excellence lies a paradox well known to all specialized integrators: developers who are truly capable of mastering this technology are extremely rare. This is not a matter of popularity—Magento is one of the most widely used open-source platforms in the world—but rather a matter of complexity. Learning to develop on Adobe Commerce requires time, rigor, and a gradual skills progression that cannot be improvised. Traditional academic programs rarely teach it, and general training courses barely touch on it. As a result, the job market is structurally unbalanced, with demand far exceeding available supply. It is a glass ceiling that Magento integrators face year after year, without a real solution emerging at the market level.
Train instead of endure
Faced with this reality, two approaches are possible. The first is to adapt as best as possible, hiring versatile profiles and training them on the job, hoping the situation will improve on its own. The second is to address the problem at its root and invest seriously in training.
ATI4 Group is a 100% Adobe Commerce–focused agency. The decision to work with a single technology was made very early and without hesitation. From the very beginning, we decided to build our own school, the Magento Academy. This was not a side project or a small add-on meant to enhance our offering. It was a foundational decision, designed to build a strong team with comprehensive expertise.
Behind this initiative lies a sense of responsibility. An agency that builds its business on a technology should, in our view, contribute to the ecosystem that sustains it. Training new developers is not only about serving our own interests—it is about investing in the long-term sustainability of an entire market.
The Magento Academy: a complete, real-world training program
The Magento Academy is now a Qualiopi-certified training center, offering an 11-week program totaling 400 hours to become an Adobe Commerce/Magento developer. It is an intensive and demanding curriculum designed to make participants operational from day one.
What truly sets us apart from general training programs is our instructors. They are our own senior developers—professionals who work every week on complex e-commerce projects, who understand the platform’s blind spots, evolving best practices, and real client expectations. What they teach is what they live every day. The content is continuously updated because it is directly fueled by real-world experience.
The training catalog covers all profiles:
- Back-end: PHP architecture, OOP, modules, APIs, Magento business logic
- Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the Hyvä theme, now the performance benchmark on Adobe Commerce
- Full stack: for those seeking a complete overview
- Magento administration: for business teams without a technical background
- Web Analytics & GA4: to manage e-commerce performance
All of this is available within one to two weeks.
The Magento Academy is not designed for a single type of profile. It serves three distinct audiences, each with different backgrounds and goals.
First, there are career changers and job seekers—often PHP developers transitioning, integrators looking to specialize, or individuals choosing to move into a high-demand profession. For them, this is a rare, concrete, and highly valuable skill. Thanks to eligibility for France Travail programs, OPCO funding, and regional grants, the financial barrier can even disappear entirely.
Then there are the technical teams of clients using Adobe Commerce/Magento. Training internal teams means gaining autonomy, engaging with service providers on equal footing, and maximizing the return on investment in the platform. The Magento Academy adapts to each company’s level and objectives.
Finally, there are our future employees. Training the people who will join ATI4 ensures they master the technology according to our standards and share our way of working. To make this commitment tangible, any participant who completes the full program and passes the final certification will be offered a permanent contract (CDI) within the agency. Not an empty promise, but a real contractual commitment.
Qualiopi: a guarantee of quality
The Qualiopi certification plays a central role in our approach. It might seem like just another administrative label, but in reality, it is awarded following a rigorous audit conducted by an independent certification body, based on a national quality framework. It evaluates the consistency of training programs, the qualifications of instructors, participant support conditions, assessment methods, and the organization’s ability to continuously improve. It is not a one-time formality—the certification requires annual monitoring audits, ensuring that we maintain a consistently high level of standards.
For participants, Qualiopi is a tangible guarantee. It means that the training is delivered by qualified professionals, with relevant and up-to-date programs, and that their progress will be seriously evaluated. It also provides access to public funding schemes, which can cover all or part of the training costs, depending on their situation.
A benchmark partnership: Adobe Silver Solution Partner
The Magento Academy is part of ATI4 Group’s broader positioning as a key player in the Adobe Commerce ecosystem. Our Adobe Silver Solution Partner status reflects our level of expertise and commitment to the platform. This title comes with strict requirements in terms of certified skills within the team, project volume, and the quality of deliverables. It also gives us access to resources, insights, and support from Adobe that we can leverage for both our clients and our training programs.
This dual role as both an agency and a training center is our strength. Our instructors do not operate in isolation—they experience the platform’s evolution, project constraints, and market expectations every week. This close connection to real-world practice is, in our view, the best guarantee of the relevance of our training programs.
By training new Adobe Commerce developers, our team aims to help solve a structural issue that goes far beyond our own interests. Every profile trained through the Magento Academy is another professional capable of working on Adobe Commerce/Magento e-commerce projects—whether they join ATI4 or other companies in the market. It is additional expertise feeding an ecosystem that desperately needs it.
It is also a way to demonstrate that a specialized agency can have an impact beyond its own projects. The shortage of Magento talent is not inevitable—it is a problem that can be addressed with method, ambition, and conviction. And those who know the technology best have a role to play in ensuring that the market grows under the right conditions.
The Magento Academy is ultimately the story of a virtuous cycle. Training developers enriches the market. Enriching the market enables more companies to rely on Adobe Commerce to grow their online business. And supporting these companies is precisely why ATI4 Group was created.
