Content is no longer a problem on magento with Hyvä Commerce.

E-commerce has never been more demanding. Between rising acquisition costs, increasing pressure on performance, ever-higher UX expectations, and tighter budgets, merchants must combine operational efficiency with technical excellence. Added to this is a major regulatory constraint: since June 2025, digital accessibility has become mandatory. Performance is no longer a competitive advantage, it is a structural requirement.

It was in this context that our team hosted a webinar on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, alongside Thien-Lan Weber, Global VP Strategy & Marketing at Hyvä, and Joris Hart and Olivier Haesen, respectively Technical Director and Sales Director at ATI4 Group, a Hyvä Gold partner agency. Together, they explored a central question: how does Hyvä Commerce concretely solve performance and content management challenges on Magento?

Because while Magento remains a robust and proven e-commerce engine, it was not originally designed to deliver a seamless experience for marketing teams or administrators on a daily basis. Through a live technical demonstration, the speakers showed how the entire ecosystem makes it possible to combine faster page loading, greater team autonomy, and improved conversion rates.

Contexte e-E-commerce contextcommerce

Merchants are facing triple pressure: prospects expect websites that are beautiful, fast, and accessible, at a controlled cost; search engines closely monitor Core Web Vitals; and digital accessibility has been a legal requirement since June 2025. These constraints accumulate and highlight a limitation well known to teams working daily with Magento and Adobe Commerce.

Because while these platforms remain undisputed references in terms of e-commerce capabilities, their front-end has gradually become a point of friction. Before Page Builder, teams had to work with a widget system that was not very intuitive and offered no accurate preview of the final storefront rendering. Page Builder represented real progress (customizable blocks and greater flexibility) but at the cost of long and complex development time, and still without true real-world preview capabilities. Marketing and digital teams often remain dependent on developers to update the site, publish content, or simply test a layout. Preview, versioning, and real-time collaboration are tools that have become standard elsewhere but remain largely absent from the native Magento ecosystem.

This is precisely the problem Hyvä decided to solve, in two stages. In 2020, Hyvä Theme marked the first revolution: a modern front-end based on Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS, up to 20 times less JavaScript, and dramatically improved Lighthouse scores. But the work did not stop there. While Adobe Commerce focused its investments on enterprise clients via AEM, a gap was growing for merchants who needed to accelerate their time-to-market and give their teams greater autonomy. Hyvä Commerce is the answer to this gap: a complete package that includes the theme, a UI library, a checkout up to 13 times faster than the original, and most importantly the new Hyvä CMS, a content management tool designed for teams, not only for developers. For Adobe Commerce projects with advanced B2B features such as gift cards and loyalty programs, Hyvä also offers a dedicated solution: Hyvä Enterprise.

The Hyvä revolution

The word “revolution” is rarely justified in our industry. But with Hyvä, it is.

When Hyvä Theme launched in 2020, it directly addressed the structural limitations of Luma, Magento’s default theme. The promise was simple and radical: divide page weight by 20, adopt modern technologies (Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS), and give developers the pleasure of working with Magento again. No more legacy technical layers, no more compromises between performance and maintainability.

At ATI4, we immediately saw the potential: as early as 2021 we launched our first website using Hyvä Theme with UNIWAX, a project that required strong performance for mobile users in Côte d’Ivoire. For Magento e-commerce, it was a turning point.

But the full scope of Hyvä’s vision only became clear in March 2025 during the first Meet Magento France event, when Willem took the stage to announce Hyvä Commerce. No longer just a front-end theme, but a complete ecosystem: Hyvä Theme, Hyvä UI, Hyvä Checkout, Hyvä CMS, Image Editor, Media Optimizer, Hyvä Dashboard, and a roadmap that continues to grow month after month. It is the direct response to a need we had long identified as an agency: giving merchants a content management tool worthy of the Magento ecosystem without leaving it.

The numbers speak for themselves. With Hyvä Theme alone, customers typically see between 10% and 150% increases in revenue, driven by better user experience, stronger SEO, and higher conversion rates. Hyvä Checkout, 13 times faster than the native Luma checkout, generates up to 30% more conversions and significantly reduces cart abandonment. Overall, Hyvä Commerce delivers around +40% conversion improvements across the entire purchase journey, from browsing to completed order. A return on investment that is difficult to match in the Magento market today.

For Magento Open Source projects, Hyvä Commerce covers all essential needs. For merchants using Adobe Commerce with advanced features, Hyvä Enterprise completes the solution with dedicated modules. In both cases, the goal remains the same: to deliver the best version of Magento ever built.

The Ultimate Fishing case

Mignature du projet mené avec Ultimate Fishing.

Ultimate Fishing, is one of those collaborations that grows with you. Since the early days of ATI4, we have been supporting this Breton company based in Belle-Île-en-Mer, which designs, manufactures, and sells lure fishing equipment. It operates with a 100% B2B positioning, a recognized brand, and a community of enthusiasts (both professional and amateur anglers) who buy directly from the website.

In 2025, we launched a second store dedicated to the UK market, with its own specific requirements. Today the group generates €15 million in revenue, including €1.2 million online, with 90% coming from the French store and 10% from the newer UK store, representing nearly 2,900 orders per year.

From a technical perspective, Ultimate Fishing previously operated with two separate environments: a Magento Open Source instance for e-commerce, already running Hyvä Theme for three years with measurable impact on conversion rates, and an internally managed WordPress blog.

This blog is far from anecdotal: with around one hundred contributors, including about fifteen regular authors responsible for 90% of the content, it produces around eight articles per month and plays a key role in community engagement and acquisition. In fact, the blog was so successful that some visitors arriving via Google did not immediately realize that Ultimate Fishing was primarily an online store, representing a real missed conversion opportunity.

The issue was not a deep technical dissatisfaction but rather a real organizational complexity: managing two separate environments, two hosting logics, two security update cycles, and two service providers (ATI4 for Magento and the internal team for WordPress). Not to mention the difficulty of linking blog articles with product pages in any meaningful way beyond a simple hyperlink.

The objective was clear: bring everything together into a single Magento instance, with Hyvä Commerce as the backbone, to simplify workflows, strengthen security, facilitate upgrades, and above all create a natural visual link between editorial content and the product catalog.

The solution: Hyvä Commerce

The first visible change appears as soon as you log in: the back office. Hyvä Commerce introduces a complete Admin Theme that modernizes the Magento interface without changing its logic. Teams already familiar with Magento administration remain in a familiar environment, but one that is cleaner, clearer, and faster to navigate.

The dashboard has been completely redesigned: the old brown bar and orange theme inherited from Magento are gone, replaced by a modular dashboard with widgets that users can add, move, and reorganize according to their needs. Key KPIs are accessible at a glance, without cumbersome navigation. It is even possible to personalize the interface with the brand’s logo and visual identity.

To understand what Hyvä CMS changes, imagine a marketing manager who simply wants to update a video on the homepage. In native Magento, this operation often requires developer involvement, an unintuitive Page Builder, and above all no accurate preview of the final rendering.

With Hyvä CMS, the experience is radically different.

The interface is divided into two columns: on the left, a real-time preview of the page as users will see it on the site; on the right, the page structure displayed as stacked blocks. Text, images, videos, buttons, titles, grids, sliders, rows — everything can be added and reorganized via drag-and-drop, without writing a single line of code. There are no surprises at publication time: what you see is exactly what your visitors will see.

Another major advantage is coexistence with the existing Page Builder. It is not necessary to migrate every page at once. Each page can be edited either with Hyvä CMS or the standard Magento Page Builder, allowing a gradual transition without disruption.

At ATI4, we worked on making our blog module fully compatible with Hyvä CMS, and the result speaks for itself for a client like Ultimate Fishing, whose hundred contributors are not expected to master Magento. Creating an article works exactly like editing a page: stacked blocks, drag-and-drop editing, and no technical skills required. Contributors choose their blocks from a library — header image, title, text content, image, product slider, CTA, author profile with social networks, related articles — and assemble them in the desired order like building blocks. Each block is autonomous and repositionable, and the result is visible in real time. No code, no technical intervention, and no surprises at publication.

Once published, the article naturally integrates into the site ecosystem: it appears on the main blog page with its filters and categories, but also on the author’s dedicated page, which centralizes all of their contributions. Most importantly for Ultimate Fishing, it becomes possible to directly link articles to product pages. Products mentioned in an article can be highlighted visually, creating a natural bridge between editorial content and purchasing intent. Readers can then naturally perceive the commercial dimension of the brand.

Beyond the content editor, Hyvä Commerce includes several features that address daily operational pain points often underestimated.

The first is publication scheduling: it is now possible to schedule the publication of a page or promotion at a specific date and time and automatically remove it later. In native Magento, someone had to log in manually at the right moment to publish.

Then there is the integrated image editor: cropping, resizing, filters, adding text or arrows, converting to WebP or AVIF, generating Retina images — everything can be done directly within the media library without using Photoshop. The original file is always preserved.

Finally, version history, shareable preview links valid for seven days, author management, article filters and categories, and the ability to link articles directly to product pages fundamentally transform the way editorial teams work.

Ultimate Fishing now operates with a single instance that centralizes both stores, the e-commerce platform and the blog. Importing the existing content took between 15 and 20 minutes, with no technical intervention. What previously required two environments, two providers, and constant organizational complexity is now handled through a single internally managed tool.

Roadmaps & next step

One argument that often comes up in discussions with our clients is that Hyvä Commerce is one of the few solutions on the market with a fixed price, no variables, no usage-based billing, and no hidden costs.

The principle is simple: €3,000 per year per instance, regardless of the number of storefronts or associated development environments. Whether you run one store or several, as Ultimate Fishing does with its French and UK stores, the price remains the same.

For merchants using Adobe Commerce who want advanced functionality, Hyvä Enterprise adds €2,500 per year to the license. Again, no variable costs and no surprises at the end of the month.

Renewal is optional, and implementation as well as project-specific customizations are handled separately. But considering the measurable gains in conversion rates, team productivity, and reduced technical debt, the return on investment becomes visible quickly.

Hyvä Commerce is not a static product. New features are released regularly, supported by an active community and a fast-moving product team.

Upcoming developments include a Menu Builder to simplify navigation management, automatic media optimization, and AI-assisted translation tools for multilingual projects. For merchants operating across multiple markets, this last evolution is particularly anticipated.

QWhatever your starting point, there is a path toward Hyvä Commerce, and we can support you at every stage.

  • Already on Magento? You already have a strong foundation. It is time to unlock the full potential of the platform: a high-performance front-end, a modernized back office, and autonomous content management for your teams. Hyvä Commerce builds on that foundation.
  • Already using Hyvä Theme? You have already taken the first step and likely see the impact on performance and conversion. The next step is natural: aligning the back office with the same logic of fluidity and efficiency you already have on the storefront. Hyvä Commerce is the natural continuation.
  • Not using Hyvä or Magento? This might be the right moment to evaluate your current e-commerce stack. Not necessarily to change everything overnight, but to determine whether your platform can still support your ambitions for the next three years.

In all cases, our team is available to discuss your context, analyze your challenges, and propose an approach tailored to your reality, without commitment and without pre-packaged sales discourse. Simply the promise of being supported by a team of Magento and Adobe Commerce experts, with 100% of our projects built on these platforms.
