A global travel retail player
Lagardère Travel Retail operates stores in airports and railway stations worldwide, offering travellers everything from “core” products (perfumes, cosmetics, spirits, confectionery, gastronomy…) to fashion and accessories. Its stores run under iconic banners — Aelia Duty Free, Extime Duty Free Paris and The Fashion Gallery — bringing together several hundred brands, from small local houses to the biggest names in luxury.
The group operates in regional airports as well as the world’s largest hubs, such as Paris-Charles de Gaulle with its 15 terminals serving 40 million passengers. Aelia Duty Free positions itself as a genuine mini “department store” of travel, with a strong visual identity.
A platform built for the journey
The Aelia Duty Free digital platform powers the brand’s multichannel online presence: Click & Collect e-commerce sites for air and ferry passengers, staff sales, and airport marketplaces.
Its defining feature is the travel context. On arrival, the traveller first indicates where they are departing from — the airport and the pick-up store — then specifies their flight. Based on this, the offer and prices adapt automatically: the assortment actually available in the terminal, and duty free or duty paid prices depending on the destination and customs regulations. Customers reserve online, then collect their order in store with no queue, on the day of departure (or on arrival at the relevant airports).

- a pricing engine handling millions of price combinations (duty free / duty paid depending on the travel context)
Our mission: maintain and evolve the platform
We provide the application maintenance and evolution of this ecosystem: keeping it operational, fixing issues and supporting functional and technical evolutions, in service of LTR’s e-commerce activity.
The platform relies on a rich ecosystem that our teams operate day to day:
- Adobe Commerce Cloud (Hyvä theme) at the heart of the e-commerce, customised to handle the travel context, assortments and prices;
- Akeneo (PIM) for enriching and consolidating product data;
- business components orchestrating the order lifecycle and data flows with the IS (SAP ERP, POS, marketplaces…);
Our goal: to guarantee the stability, performance and scalability of a strategic platform, deployed internationally and at the heart of travellers’ shopping experience.
