UNIWAX is West Africa’s leading manufacturer of Wax loincloths. Born of a combination of professionalism and originality, the company is a symbol of African elegance. These fabrics, genuine Wax commonly known as ‘Wax Côte d’Ivoire’, are sold and exported to around ten countries. The label, synonymous with quality, adds real value to local cotton. These colourful, festive fabrics have been worn by African women for around 200 years, highlighting a genuine, authentic and unique cultural heritage. The brand’s positioning is simple: elegance, excellence and modernity.
International deployment.
Our team played a crucial role in the setup and creation of the redesigned environment hosted on Google Cloud, including the development of the platform and the digital sales channel, as well as the website redesign and the implementation of new features. Since 2020, we have been working 100% remotely with the Uniwax team.
In 2021, we led a rebranding project for the platform using the Hyvä theme. This redesign was more than successful, delivering exceptional results that provided a seamless customer experience, particularly thanks to the implementation of new features such as the Wax fabric customization module, which significantly enhanced the offering. At the same time, we developed the platform and the digital sales channel to further strengthen online presence and customer engagement.
In 2022, a second Magento store was launched in the United States, with versions in French, English, and a global store. This B2C store opened sales to the rest of the world, thus facilitating the penetration of new markets via digital channels.
Mobile Optimization
We made it a priority to transform the site for optimal use on mobile, with a responsive version as a key element.
In a country where the cost of internet connectivity is very high, it is essential that content is optimized to improve page loading speed. Our partner, VUXE, a strategic communication consulting agency, provided the design mockups and their variations across around twenty pages. This collaboration enables Uniwax to improve its online performance while also increasing both visits and conversion rates. We also optimized the customer journey by minimizing the number of pages before checkout to limit data consumption. Thanks to these improvements, the mobile experience is transformed, offering simplified access and cost optimization for users.
