Ultimate Fishing is a 100% B2B company specializing in sport fishing, particularly in the distribution of premium fishing equipment. Based in Belle-Île-en-Mer, Brittany, the company focuses on selling high-end lure fishing gear for B2B clients. Today, it has established itself as a leader in the field thanks to its commitment to quality and product innovation.

Our team took over the project after more than two years of inactivity on the platform. During this period, user needs and expectations naturally evolved, and technology advanced considerably. In response, the Licornes team identified several critical areas in need of updates, both functional and technical. Migrating to a more recent version of Adobe Commerce (Magento) was therefore essential.

As part of its growth and modernization strategy, Ultimate Fishing decided to undertake a complete graphic redesign using the Hyvä theme, with plans to launch additional stores and brands within the group in 2024. This redesign aimed to transform the appearance and user experience of the platform, making it more modern, intuitive, and efficient.
Why Hyvä ? Because its lightweight structure, speed, and ease of use enable Ultimate Fishing to enjoy overall performance improvements that align with customer expectations. Furthermore, the integration of new brands into the Magento environment and product catalog
optimizing workflow with akeneo.
From a customer experience perspective, Ultimate Fishing’s catalog was extensive. To improve and streamline navigation, we introduced a new feature: a guide page designed to refine and simplify searches.
The core of this optimization relies on the use of the Akeneo PIM system, a user-friendly graphical tool that ensures autonomy, optimization, and centralization of product information data. The PIM enables Ultimate Fishing to consolidate its entire product catalog onto a single platform, thereby improving stock management, saving time, and enhancing the efficiency of the teams dedicated to the platform.
In the coming months, we plan to expand the solution to support additional countries and currencies. This strategic expansion will allow Ultimate Fishing to meet the demands of a global market, providing centralized product information management with precise local adaptations for each region.
