Institut Esthederm is a brand of the NAOS Group, specialized in skincare and beauty, alongside Bioderma and Etat Pur. The brand is based on three fundamental pillars: ecobiology, authenticity, and the endowment fund. NAOS and its brands adopt a philosophy that views the skin as a living ecosystem with its own natural mechanisms. Institut Esthederm’s biomimetic products mimic these mechanisms to promote the skin’s self-healing, rather than over-treating it. This approach respects and strengthens the skin’s natural processes, ensuring the balance of its ecosystem.
For over 40 years, the brand has developed innovative and organic products to meet the specific needs of every skin type. Its approach is based on understanding and respecting the skin’s ecosystem, in order to preserve and optimize skin health and beauty. The promise is simple: a personalized solution for each skin type, to make it radiant and balanced.
International deployment.
In 2023, NAOS entrusted the AODB group team and our Cookies team with the daily management of the Institut Esthederm platform, with the mission of executing an ambitious international deployment project. Initially, the platform was already active in France, Brazil, and Spain.
The goal was to extend this presence to more than 30 major subsidiaries over three years. This rapid expansion required a substantial roadmap of successive deployments throughout 2023. The Cookies team not only had to keep up but also accelerate the pace desired by NAOS, taking over the ongoing project and managing the technical aspect with the support of Advisa for UX, UI, and SEO. The first step involved migrating to the latest version of Magento, followed by the deployment in other countries, including the United Arab Emirates, with a design adapted to the Arabic language. Today, the platform is deployed in the initial three countries, as well as in the UAE, Mexico, Canada, Belgium, and Lithuania.
creation of a core model.
NAOS has undertaken an ambitious project to implement a core model in the 30 largest subsidiaries within three years. Currently, this core model is being deployed in 15 countries, with further expansion planned for the coming years. This core model enables NAOS to strengthen its international presence by adapting to the local specificities of each market.
The core model, designed to be deployed in over 15 countries, is based on a robust technical foundation that allows for the creation of both showcase and e-commerce sites from the same base. To ensure an effective international rollout, the core model needed to be solid and easily replicable to comply with and adapt to different countries.
The initially launched project required significant updates and upgrades to meet the diverse technical and organizational needs of the various ecosystems, including ERP systems and structures. A detailed set of specifications was developed, with substantial challenges, requiring a redesign and factoring of multiple components.
A multi-brand platform.
Since our intervention, we have also supported the NAOS teams in developing a multi-brand approach by using reusable modules across all their sites, including Institut Esthederm. Among these modules are important features such as loyalty programs and PIM (Product Information Management) interfaces. Additionally, thanks to a unified information system (IS), these modules can be shared between the different brands of the group. This means that a module created for Institut Esthederm (such as import/export functionalities, customer relationship management (CRM), digital asset management (DAM), and loyalty features) can be reused on the Bioderma and Etat Pur platforms. This effective unification allows the Cookies team to carry out weekly production releases, ensuring regular updates and continuous maintenance across all the group’s platforms.
